Jeremy - Fractional Head of Strategy & Insight
At Maestro, we know thereâs more to life than work. In fact, itâs the experiences, relationships and pursuits we have outside of work that can often give us an edge in what we do each day. We host an interview series called âMeet the Maestroâ where we interview our Maestros and get an insight to who they really are and what makes them tick - beyond the CV.
This weekâs Maestro, Jeremy, has built a career around understanding what really makes people tick. With a rare mix of strategic thinking, deep research expertise and a background in psychology, he helps businesses move beyond surface-level data to uncover the human truths driving customer behaviour.
What makes Jeremy particularly powerful is his ability to bridge both worlds: uncovering rich insights and then translating them into practical strategies that businesses can actually act on. Whether itâs helping a brand understand why customers choose competitors, how to communicate more effectively or where future growth lies, Jeremy brings clarity to complexity in a way that feels both smart and deeply commercial.
Having worked across everything from FMCG, finance and retail to sport, travel, health and entertainment, he brings an incredible breadth of experience and curiosity to every challenge. Equal parts strategist, researcher and behavioural thinker, Jeremy combines lived experience with emerging AI-powered tools to help organisations ask better questions, make sharper decisions and build brands people genuinely connect with.

1. Tell us about a career highlight to dateâŚ
Winning and working with Beyond Blue to grow it into an $8 million client with varied campaigns addressing depression and anxiety.
2. Talk us through an unusual career choice youâve made along the wayâŚ
Many people in agencies change agency regularly. I changed country from the UK to Australia and took 6 months travel to get here. With no job to come to when I got here.Â
3. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to drive a tank, fire the big gun and blow stuff up.
4. What are your passions outside of work and how do you make time for them?
I love Music (LiveânâLoud). I follow Sport (Cricket & 4 codes of football). I enjoy Travel and Experiences (my goal to keep n=countries visited > n= my age)
5. If you could instantly master any skill or hobby, what would it be and why?
I would learn how to play guitar so that as well as listening to music I can play as well. â
6. Whatâs a personal value or belief that guides the way you live your life?â
I believe in âmy word is my bondâ. If I say Iâll do something I will do it.Â
7. Whatâs a challenge youâve overcome outside of work that shaped you?â
My father was in the Army, so we moved around every 2 years. That taught me resilience which has been invaluable in the ups and downs of an advertising career and moving to Australia.Â
8. What do you think your job will look like in 10 years time?
As long as businesses want to know what their customers think and feel there will be a need for research. The degree that AI can provide the answers will determine what my job will look like.
9. If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go and what would you do?
I would tour South America and Asia to tick off some countries that Iâve not yet visited.Â
10. What does success look like to you?
Success to me is finding out what makes people tick to uncover insights that inform strategies that solve business challenges.
